Tim De Smedt has posted a tag modification for the Canvas version of Tarski on the forum. Essentially, it improves the tags page that’s bundled with Tarski for Canvas. Great to see people posting their contributions on the forum.

You might have noticed the new donation button over in the sidebar. Please don’t feel we’re pressuring you to donate—Tarski is, and always will be, completely free to download and use. However, if you want to say thanks with more than just words, we wouldn’t object to being bought a drink!

Jim Whimpey’s Day Dream has apparently been influenced by Tarski (not detrimentally, we hope). It’s a clean single-column theme with a large header and a few nice touches—I particularly like the way the header switches with the colour changes. Happily, it looks like Jim agrees with us about the need for customisability. Worth checking out.

WordPress.com has just added some custom header functionality. Customisability is the wave of the future. Don’t fight it, feel it.

Eric tells me that Merlin Mann linked to Tarski in his del.icio.us feed. I’ve been reading 43 Folders ever since coming across ‘More Moleskine Hacks’ back in 2004, so it’s nice to see the traffic wasn’t entirely one-way. Cheers Merlin!

Tarski Forum

As the number of people using Tarski has increased, so has the volume of support requests, and it’s getting quite messy and difficult to handle them in blog comments, so we’ve set up a forum.

We hope that some of you will hang around, post your alternate styles and modifications, and help other Tarski users with their problems. We want to carry on developing and improving Tarski, but we do need support from the community if we’re going to maintain our high standards and continue to provide a high level of support for our users.

All support requests should now be posted in the forum, not in blog comment threads.

Make sure you don’t use Tarski’s asides and a plugin like Sideblog; the two will, not surprisingly, conflict. If you’re using Sideblog (or a similar plugin) and Tarski, make sure you disable asides in the Tarski Options page!

Vidar has created a modified version of Tarski he dubs “Vidarski”, even getting the theme to work with WordPress 1.5.x. I’m a fan of the blue…
