Server Move

I have moved this site to a new server. Unfortunately I don’t have time right now to finish migrating content and debugging everything, but I think a website with a few things missing that’s actually available is much better than one that has all the content but keeps crashing every couple of days.

The major missing components right now are the forum and the API docs. Do let me know in the comments if you spot anything else that’s not working correctly.

Update: I’ve fixed the issue with the API documentation, so that should all be present and correct now.

    Hi,

first of all I have to say, that I really like your theme and use it for a while now with a custom dark style.

After upgrading my site to the last version of all components I updated Tarski, too.

Now I think there is something wrong with the links to the translation files. I can’t access them and can’t download a updated german localization file. Could you please update the links.

    Cheers

The links should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know.

Thank you for the great information. Your page about writing plugins is full of useful information and really got me motivated to get working on something.

      Thanks again.

      Ben,

Are you by any chance related to a former Bishop of Hereford in the UK? You may be interested to know that I’ve published a collection of poetry entitled FREEDOM RECLAIMED on http://www.augustabooks.co.uk. The theme of the collection is freedom from the pain and grief of broken relationships – between us and the Lord, and between ourselves, especially within families and society in general.
The title of my website is: FROM SLAVERY TO RECONCILIATION. Although I live with my wife near Bournemouth on the south coast of England, my family came from Charleston in South Carolina. My ancestor, Thomas Drayton, arrived there in 1679, and I still have distant cousins out there. I’ve been discovering descendants of those who were slaves on the plantations, as I do genealogical research online. I’ve also been back to Charleston at least once a year for the past five years. God bless.

With all that lack-of-time-stuff going on I just do hope you don’t ditch Tarski altogether.

WP 3.1 just arrived. Is there anything still alive on Tarski?

The next version of Tarski is very close to release (after a mammoth hacking session this evening). You can see all the changes since 2.7.1 on GitHub.

This version will add support for native WordPress menus, default headers and asides. However, there is a price, because I don’t have weeks to spend writing and testing automatic upgrade code (which is painfully fragile at the best of times): you’ll have to set up your navbar and header image again.

I still need to make a few tweaks, and I’ll probably put out a release candidate this week before the full release, so people have a chance to test it. Only WordPress 3.1 and up will be supported.

Hello, I was looking for the forum as I need some advice on running the featured post gallery plugin (or something similar) with Tarski. I see you have a plugin to faciltate this but I can’t get it yo work. Cheers, Brendan

What’s the problem? I think that plugin is quite old so likely it’s incompatible with a newer version of something or other.

Thanks for the reply. It just doesn’t work but I think you’re right about the age of the plugin. I’ve just downloaded dynamic content gallery and will try that. I may come back for help! Thanks again, Brendan
