Legacy Article: Recommended Plugins
Tarski is designed to play nice with a number of plugins right out-of-the-box. Tarski will work just fine without any of these installed, but they do provide some nice additional functionality.
If you get Tarski working with different versions of these plugins, let us know so we can update the list.

Tarski supports Widgets in its sidebar. You can find our documentation on using widgets with Tarski here.

Live Comment Preview
This plugin displays a live preview of a user’s comment as they type, which can be handy for preventing HTML mishaps.

Skippy’s Gravatars
Gravatars, or “Globally Recognized Avatars”, are supported for comments in Tarski with Skippy’s Gravatars plugin.
In the options pane for Gravatars, we recommend setting your “Default gravatar image” to /wp-content/themes/tarski/images/clearpixel.png and your “Default gravatar size” to 40 pixels.

Subscribe to Comments
Subscribe to Comments allows users to receive e-mails when a comment thread they are subscribed to is updated.

Brian’s Latest Comments
This plugin allows you to display a list of posts that have recently been commented on in the sidebar. After installing, check the checkbox in Tarski’s sidebar options.

Ultimate Tag Warrior
Ultimate Tag Warrior provides a nice alternative to categories. We recommend you make the following settings changes from the default set of options.

Version 3.1 of UTW also offers an nifty AJAX tag search. This can be activated as an option in Tarski version 1.1.1.

WordPress Lightbox 2
WordPress Lightbox 2 is another way of doing the same thing as the Lightbox 2 Plugin. The only downside (relative to the other plugin) is having to add the rel="lightbox" attribute to any link you want to use the plugin; the first plugin does this automatically.
