I’ve finally got round to updating the Tarski hooks reference, so that piece of documentation is now up to date for Tarski 2.4.

The entire process is now automated, pulling the documentation straight from the inline documentation in the Tarski source code, so further updates to the hooks reference will happen entirely silently as new releases of Tarski come out.

If you’re interested in the code I use to do this, it’s available on GitHub.

Tarski's documentation is now more readable, more comprehensive, and more up-to-date.

I’ve just finished a major overhaul of Tarski’s Documentation & Help page, which is now more readable, more comprehensive, and more up-to-date. If you’re new to Tarski, I advise having a read-through of at least that page. The rest of the documentation has also had a lot of incremental improvements made to it over the last couple of months.

Just published an article over on Extralogical about adding custom hooks to WordPress themes, which might be of interest to the theme authors amongst you. It also offers a little preview of how the new hooks system in Tarski 1.5 will work.

Translations are now on our
svn
repo.

We’ve changed the way we’re deploying translations again: the new plan is for all translations for the latest version of the theme to be available here, on our Subversion repository. This allows us the full versioning support afforded by
svn
.

Our current plan is to freeze a set of translations for each major point release, and keep the main
/translations
directory constantly updated as new translations come in. New translations in languages we haven’t got are, of course, always welcome; please post them on the forum as usual.

Tarski 1.4 is available in seven languages, and it would be great to bump that number a bit. Thanks as always go out to the members of the community who’ve taken the time to provide translations.

All the info you should need on translations is available on the localisation page.

Our documentation on styling content with Tarski has been substantially improved.

Over the last few weeks I’ve substantially revised some of our documentation, creating a new Styling Content section which includes two detailed tutorials. One of them is the existing image classes one; the other is a new one on insert classes. Hopefully they (and the quick reference list on the main Styling Content page) will be useful. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our users!
