Lexi is a text editor for Android devices. Lexi is compatible with devices from “Ice Cream Sandwich (API 15)” and beyond. Lexi’s implementation is written based on the Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and on the design patterns described in the Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software (GOF) book.
For the implementation of Lexi, 18 design patterns were implemented. Lexi supports the following tasks:
• Creation, open and save of a document file
• Selection, insertion, deletion and modification of a text
• Copy, cut and paste of the selected text
• Font (face and size) modification
