Tabla Learning for PC

The software is an advanced version of "Tabla Trainer with Lahara" and is very helpful to the beginners.


TO CHANGE TAAL, STOP PLAYING,SELECT FROM THE DROP DOWN LIST , PRESS "LOAD" BUTTON.


IN ADDITION TO THE SUPPORT OF INSTRUMENTS ,VOCAL COUNT SUPPORT ADDED FOR BEGINNERS AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED.EMPHASIS WILL APPLY AS FOR BEAT SUPPORT.

IMPORTANT:
VARY THE PITCH OF THE LEFT TABLA USING "PITCHES AND REVERB" FOR CLARITY.

USE "SET RESONATORS" TO CHNAGE THE QUALITY OF BOTH SIDES SOFT/SHARP.

The mobile should support .wav AUDIO

USE EARBUDS / HEADPHONES.

For every composition there is a Maxtempo for clarity.

The last few structures are for very experienced players.

The range for tempo 30 BPM to 360 BPM .

The default tuning is C# but can be changed by selecting "Pitches and Reverb" from menu. The Right side can be fine tuned in steps of cents (0-100) also.

The software allows to compose maximum 16 cells.

Select "Demo Tabla" from menu and press "Compose". You will see a grid of bols and tapping at these you can assign different bols to different bols and the selection will move forward in a cyclic manner. If you tap at a particular cell of composition then that will become the new starting point. The combinations which do not have conventional names are expressed as "a + b" meaning that this is a combination of sound of column a and row b. Reduce the number of cells to just contain the required bols.

Come back to "Demo Tabla " and press the "Settings" button. Here you assign beat value and volume to each cell.The total number of beats to be used as beats / cycle will depend on what fraction of beats you assign to different cells. To do this you should first fix the fraction using Mult+,Mult-,Div+ and Div- buttons. Range is from 1 to 8. Tap on cells to assign this fraction to them. You can change the fraction and assign it to other cells. Each time you do this assignment the text in "Total Duration" will change. If the result is not a whole number, "++" will appear after the whole number.

A button toggles between "Duration Mode" and "Volume Mode" on successive tappings. Fix beat in the "Duration Mode". In the "Volume Mode" select a cell and move the slider it will change the volume from 0 to 64, see changes.
Composing Lahara is similar.

Come back to "Demo Tabla" and press "Play". .
You can change the number of cells in both "Settings" of Tabla and "Demo Lahara". This will change the total number of beats.

In "Demo Tabla", you can also copy the displayed line on main page. While not playing , one can change displayed line using "Next Line".

A displayed line on the main page can be edited from menu item "Edit Line Bol " and "Edit Line Volumes". Loading it again will restore the original line.


IN THE "BEAT" SUPPORT USE SET EMPHASIS FROM MENU

"HalfDbl" CHECKBOX CONTROLS THE TEMPO CHANGE BEHAVIOUR. If you uncheck it ,the tempo will change by + -1 and if you check it , it will change by /2 and x2. If the tempo is less than 60 BPM it can not be halved also if it is more than half of the allowed maxtempo it can not be doubled.
