This bad boy was built solely on your user feedback and input. That basically means YOU designed it. So congratulations, because you all did a bang-up job. It looks great.
The Thunder App is the only way to get 100% of our content.
That means you get EVERYTHING, including all the comedic gold that we can’t post on social media because of “content rules.” And you get it FIRST. Real exclusive stuff here, people.
--WHAT YOU ASKED US FOR (aka The features) --
- Faster speeds? Done. Hyper compressed files sizes and new load protocols to only give you what you want to see. No background refreshing etc.
- Easy to use? Dang right. You choose how to use it. Scroll, swipe or tap.
Our system allows you to vertically scroll through galleries or swipe through individual images for as long as your little hearts desire.
- Sharing features? Finito! Save, text, and share every single image (or post). Look like a stud in your group chats.
- Commenting? Voila. Our new (anonymous) commenting system allows you to throw in your two cents on every post or on every image. Converse away, but you’ve been warned about the perils of online trolls.
- Logins? Nope. We could care less about your data and we hate signups.
- Data limits, data limits, data limits! Solved! As Canadians, we too are capped on data per month so we feel you. We added a “Favourites Folder” which allows you to save posts for later viewing. This means you can save a bunch of stuff while on WIFI and look at it later to preserve those precious data bytes.
- What about storage? We hate bloated apps, so we gave you the option to clear the cache of any and all unwanted saved items. Load it fresh, or keep your favourites stored. Up to you.
- Better battery life? Battery life is KEY. We made the app with darker tones to save as much backlight power as possible.
- Are there ads? Yes… BUT. We always want to have total transparency with our audience. Apps cost money. So yes, this app is supported by ads.
We HATE annoying ads just as much as you do. So we’ve made sure that the app features NO POPUPS and NO VIDEO ADS. They pay A TON more $$$ but we’ve sacrificed that revenue for basic low paying in stream impression based ads.
It literally is as low impact as possible, while still paying for basic costs. We just want to make sure we can keep this thing running for all of you.
The internet was never intended to be used to sell fit teas or terrible t-shirts to keep sites afloat.
We LOVE you guys (and girls) and we also LOVE what we do. We’re okay to sacrifice a bunch, so that we can actually be proud of the platform you made.
