This app makes the volume rocker always control the media volume (like you would expect it to). I made it over a weekend, and released it here in case other people want to use it (and given its download numbers, apparently people do). Some users have reported battery issues, which will depend on your device type. I plan on fixing these issues in an upcoming release when I get a chance.
