A dictionary that you can use to look up a word from almost any application that supports share capabilities. Simply select the word, select share and tap the Lexicon action on the share popup.

Lexicon uses Wiktionary to look up words. The very first time you access a word you need to have internet connection. Lexicon saves the word in an internal database so you don't have to access the web on any subsequent call to the same word. Having said that, the only permission Lexicon asks from your device is internet connection.

Lexicon prefers to be installed in an external SD card (if you have any, otherwise it installs in your device's main memory).

Lexicon is tested and works with the following applications:
Aldiko Reader
FBReader
Mantano Reader
Moon+ Reader
Cool Reader
Browser
Maxthon Mobile Browser

It might work for other devices too, but I can't gurantee it since I've noticed that some of them send specialised content with the selected text.

If you want to see Lexicon work for other applications (not listed above) or for any questions/suggestions/bugs please contact me.

Android Emulator is a software application that enables you to run Android apps and games on a PC by emulating Android OS. There are many free Android emulators available on the internet. However, emulators consume many system resources to emulate an OS and run apps on it. So it is advised that you check the minimum and required system requirements of an Android emulator before you download and install it on your PC.

Below you will find how to install and run Lexicon on PC:

  • Firstly, download and install an Android emulator to your PC
  • Download Lexicon APK to your PC
  • Open Lexicon APK using the emulator or drag and drop the APK file into the emulator to install the app.
  • If you do not want to download the APK file, you can install Lexicon PC by connecting your Google account with the emulator and downloading the app from the play store directly.

If you follow the above steps correctly, you should have the Lexicon ready to run on your Windows PC or MAC. In addition, you can check the minimum system requirements of the emulator on the official website before installing it. This way, you can avoid any system-related technical issues.
