AxViewer is a viewing Android app to display video from MOBOTIX cameras. It has been optimized for use with smartphones and tablets. It establishes a connection to one or more cameras in order to display their video or footage. As opposed to a video management system, it cannot be used to change the operating mode or parameters of the cameras. The camera video or footage can be displayed in a grid view. The size of the grid and its distribution can be individually configured for display on smartphones or tablets and used in landscape or portrait orientation.
Hemispheric cameras with fisheye lens views can be dewarped in different manners, enabling, for example, the display of a panorama image in an aspect ratio of 8:3. Depending on how a specific camera is positioned, you can configure the settings in order to correct its corresponding tilt and angle. The AxViewer also supports the display of the individual sensors on dual cameras.
Each camera can be accessed either directly via its IP address or via a remote address, depending on the selected environment. Automatic switching of environments is supported, depending on configured home Wi-Fi network.
AxViewer supports original (HiRes) and low bandwidth (LoRes) connection modes on video and footage retreival, for, scrolling through individual video sequences, and for playback. The video sequences are locally stored in the cache for playback and can be viewed again without needing to retransfer data. There is a slider feature to jump forward or backward in a video sequence. You can also zoom in on the image subsequently.
You can store video sequences from cameras and even snapshots locally on smartphones and tablets and export them, as well. Further, when playing back the videos, you can scroll through all local recordings, filter them based on the camera or time, and play them back. You can jump directly by mouse click from the local recording or snapshot image to the playback of the associated camera at the point in time of the recording.
AxViewer can react to door bell events of MOBOTIX door stations, even if it has been closed and is not active. The integrated Alarm Center can be used to handle camera events, even if AxViewer is not active. This smartphone/tablet notification can also be filtered based on the event type or time-controlled based on a weekly schedule. You can configure different alarm settings for each group of cameras.
AxViewer requires a MOBOTIX camera running firmware MX-V4.4.0.31.r1 or higher.
